Holiday Donegal is a painting I did recently on a lovely stay cation in Dunfanaghy. (It's 6 x7 inches in size and painted on watercolour paper.)
As we drove from Letterkenny to Kilmacrenan through Cresslough past Marble Hill, and Portnablagh the most memorable sight to me is always that first sighting of Muckish. We know we are on our way somewhere special. This is a watercolour unusual for me as I always paint in oil, but I needed something fast drying for travelling. So I very much enjoyed this and it is a nice memory of a great holiday in Donegal where we visited many places around Muckish, including Ards, and Ballyness Bay, Horn Head & Falcarragh.
